Hello riders! We are a few weeks into the 2025 season and the trails are still very wet in places. It’ll be a few more weeks until things dry out, but the trails are rideable. In the mean time, slow down through puddles and mud, and ride in the middle of the trail. It’ll help minimize unnecessary wear. If a trail looks too muddy, don’t ride it. It’ll dry out soon enough.
Be aware there are more and more non-rider community members asking the city to limit, and eventually shut down, motorized access to the ACFL. Don’t contribute to the loss of this amazing asset to the motorcycle community by riding closed trails or intentionally abusing the existing trail network. Stay as close to trail center as you can, know the rules and follow them, and always greet other users with kindness and understanding. You might be the rider who wins them over to be open to continued motorized access.
As always, I’m working on more access to existing trails, and bringing modern two-stroke bikes back into the ACFL.
“It’s not the bike, it’s the rider” is my mantra. YOU make the decision how to operate your machine, your bike does not. So it really doesn’t matter what you ride as long as you are not damaging trails.
